We are seeking a driven Sales Development Representative with two years of experience in IT services sales to support our marketing and sales teams. The SDR will be responsible for following up on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to assess interest and potential fit, as well as making outbound calls based on targeted lists provided by the marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with both inbound lead qualification and proactive outreach, with a focus on creating meaningful opportunities for our sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • MQL Follow-Up: Quickly follow up on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to assess their needs, confirm interest, and gather relevant information for further engagement.
  • Outbound Calling: Make outbound calls to prospects on a curated list provided by marketing, focusing on initiating conversations, understanding needs, and qualifying interest.
  • Lead Qualification: Use discovery techniques to qualify both inbound MQLs and outbound leads, identifying key decision-makers, pain points, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and assist in refining targeting strategies for future campaigns.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Schedule meetings with qualified prospects and work closely with the sales team to provide detailed information about each lead’s background and interests.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions with MQLs and outbound prospects in the CRM, ensuring data quality and supporting accurate pipeline reporting.
  • Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed key performance metrics related to MQL follow-up speed, outbound calling volume, and lead qualification rates.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years in an SDR or similar sales role, preferably within IT services or a technical sales environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and conduct discovery calls effectively.
  • MQL Expertise: Experience handling MQLs and familiarity with best practices in follow-up timing, engagement techniques, and qualification.
  • Goal-Oriented: Proven track record in achieving or exceeding targets for MQL conversions, outbound call volume, and qualified meeting setting.
  • Tools Proficiency: Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead management platforms.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with both marketing and sales teams to provide feedback and enhance lead quality and conversion.
